The patented STIHL 4-Mix engine combines the best of 2-stroke and 4-stroke technologies to deliver noticeably more torque (cutting power) than conventional engines.
Designed in advance of the stricter exhaust emission and sound controls being enforced around the world, the 4-Mix also satisfies stricter Occupational Health & Safety requirements for lower vibration levels for the professional operator.
The unique design also allows multi-position use (even upside-down) without damage to the engine. Also the patented lubrication system means the operator doesn’t have to carry the extra 10% weight of the oil sump and oil pump otherwise required in a typical 4-stroke engine. |
